Цель урока: К концу урока учащиеся смогут дать советы подросткам, находящимся в трудных ситуациях
Задачи урока:

Выявить трудные жизненные ситуации подростков

Написать советы по преодолению проблемных ситуаций в форме чата на «электронном форуме»

Применить лексику темы challenges
-
Практиковаться в использовании повелительного наклонения, модальных глаголов should,must

Greeting the students. hello, everybody! How do you feel today? What’s the news? Set task(слайд 1): Continue the phrase I’m a teenager….(if necessary give helper sentences) S:..I don’t want to get up early/ need to go to school every day..
Set task(слайд 2): look at the pictures. Give a topic for the picture S: pills/drugs, a strict teacher.. . S: a plump girl/ bullying... T: what is the topic of the lesson? – teens’ challenges
Set task(слайд 3): what is a challenge? T: unscramble the definition of a challenge. Feedback: a challenge - something difficult that tests people’s character Set task(слайд 4): You are teenagers. What are YOUR challenges? (You may distribute helping cards for weaker students – see Appendix 1) Think and write on the paper, then stick it on the board (you will need them in the end of the lesson) S: to wake up early/ much homework… S: bullying/no friends…
T: today we’ll watch a film. The main characters are Joseph and Christian Kelly Set task (слайд 5): (“A new boy”- written on the board) it is the title of the film. what is the film about? Feedback:
Set task: what is Joseph going to do/what would you do? watch the film to check your ideas(WATCH THE FILM ONLY UNTIL 04.58) Make 5 pauses at 01.42, 02.24, 02.57, 03.46, 4.24– what will Joseph do? feedback What challenges are in the film? – tick them(Appendix 2)
Set task (слайд 6): discuss the questions in small groups. Give your arguments. 1. Who is Joseph and where is he from? 2. Describe the boys – Joseph and Christian Kelly. 3. How does Joseph react to Christian Kelly bullying him in the classroom? 4. what’s the best way to end up bullying? Feedback:
