1. 1. Warming-up:

- Hello, students! Glad to see you. How are you feeling today? I wish us a good work. Our work will be organized in groups. You are to choose a group leader to conduct the work.

-Let’s watch an extract? Now finish up my word chain.

Topic, key question and aims of the lesson:

• What will we speak about today? How do you understand the word “travelling” ? What do you mean by it?
• Our guiding questions of the lessons are What makes journey enjoyable or hateful?
• What are the aims of the lesson?

2. Practice: - Listen to my questions and answer them.

 3.  Home task:

- At home you should act out situations on topic travelling and now let’s see what you’ve done.

4. General part of the lesson:

- There are some problems people can face to on holidays. And one of them is a hotel. Now you are to watch video episode “Mr. Bean in room 426” and answer the comprehension questions.

 5. Rest: let’s have a rest and remember our song ‘Pasadena”

6. A talk about travelling:

- Now let’s speak about our journeys.

7. Making up a dialogue: now you will have another creative tasks: the first group gets a task to create a dialogue at the hotel, the second and the third group get a task “Calling your travel agent” you should use the words on the paper to fill in the blank spaces in the dialogue.

8. A Crossword: now students, you are to complete the crossword on topic.

- Our lesson is over. What did we do and study today? Did we answer the key question of the lesson?

- Your homework will be different exercises on papers I’ll give you.

The students greet the teacher and say how they are.

The students watch the video extract and then try to finish the teacher’s word chains.

Assistants come to the blackboard and introduce topic, aims and key question of the lesson and assessment criteria of the lesson.

Students listen to the teacher’s questions about travelling and answer them.

Students present the situations which they have acted at home on topic.

Students watch the video episode and do the tasks according to it.

Students do physical activity and sing a song “Pasadena”

Students get different tasks according to the group level and abilities: 1) fill in the missing letters to complete the words spelling below; 2) put up the words above under the correct heading; 3) answer the questions

Students make up dialogue, two groups use the paper and one – creates their own dialogue on topic.

Students revise new words and word combinations to complete the crossword and remember vocabulary on topic.
