Цели урока: развитие языковой компетенции учащихся через обобщение знаний по теме “Лондон и его достопримечательности”.

Задачи урока:

  • Социокультурный аспект – знакомство с достопримечательностями Лондона;
  • Развивающий аспект – развитие способности осуществлять продуктивные и речевые действия;
  • Воспитательный аспект – воспитание уважительного отношения к иноязычной культуре;
  • Учебный аспект – совершенствование лексических навыков говорения в виде монологической и диалогической речи, развитие навыков аудирования и чтения .

                                                 Ход урока

1. Организационный момент.

Teacher (T): Good morning, boys and girls! Nice to see you! How are you today?

Student (S): I’m fine, thank you.

T: Sit down, please.

 

2. Речевая зарядка.

T: What date is it today?

S: Today is…

T: What day of week is it today?

S: Today is…

T: Who is absent today?

S: All are present today.

 

3. Введение темы урока. Совместное целеполагание.

T: Would you like to visit London? Today we are going to travel there. What will we do today at the lesson? Can you guess? OK. We will speak about “London. Places of interest”.

 

4. Фонетическая зарядка.

T: And now lets repeat the sounds:

[ ei ] – play, place, stadium.

[ ju ] – museum, new,beautiful.

[ i ] – big, pig, different.

[ a: ] – park, car, partner.

[ i: ] – see, meet, week.

 

5.T: Open your books on p.94 ex.25

1) Listen, read and repeat the names of the places.

2) Find them on the map, please.

3) Now I would like you to read these names of historical places.

 

6.  T: And now there is some grammar.

 Ex. 26 read the rule, please. Write down this rule into your exercise books.

That’s right! So, we use “the” article with some names of historical buildings and places of interest, but we don’t use it with the others.

 

7. T: Now I would like you to read these names of historical places and put the definite article where it is necessary.

    - Kremlin (the)

    - Big Ben

    - Westminster Abbey

    - Bolshoi Theatre (the)

    - Tower of London (the)

    - Buckingham Palace

    - Red Square

T: Where are those places of interest situated?

 S: …are situated in Moscow.

     … are situated in London.

T: So, as we can see, there are a lot of interesting places in London.

11. Подведение итогов урока.

 So, today we spoke a lot about London’s places of interest. And now we know about places of interests in London. You’ll do your homework. Talk about the places you would like to visit .
